Dr. Rana Raddawi holds a PhD in Translation Studies Arabic/English/French from Sorbonne University in Paris, France. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience in the West and the Middle East at the graduate and undergraduate levels. She has supervised a number of Master theses. She masters five languages English, Arabic, French, Portuguese and Turkish with a fair knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
She is a certified Interpreter and trains interpreters in medical, legal and societal fields. Dr. Raddawi has many publications in International Journals in her areas of expertise. She also has translations such as the books Happiness is a Serious Problem and Natural Medicine for Flu and Cold translated into Arabic. She is the editor of the book Intercultural Communication with Arabs (Publisher: Springer). Her research interests relate to Cross-Cultural studies, Teaching Arabic as a second Language, Curriculum Design and Critical Pedagogy. She was a keynote speaker at several international conferences in the USA and Middle East. She served as the Faculty Senate President at AUS in 2015-2016.She is a member of two Editorial Boards of International Journals.
