Heba Khaldi, Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant, Arabic. Heba holds a BA in English Literature from the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST), where she was an honor student. Heba has previously worked as an English teacher in a public high school in Kuwait. In addition to her teaching experience, she has worked in copywriting and editing. Heba is passionate about serving as a cultural ambassador, eager to showcase Kuwait’s rich heritage beyond its reputation as just an oil-rich nation, and looks forward to working closely with students to promote a deeper understanding of her culture.
Ecem Hermes, Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant, Turkish. Ecem Hermes is a dedicated lecturer with seven years of experience, passionate about helping students improve their English skills. Currently at Northwestern University through the Fulbright FLTA program, she will be assisting in teaching Turkish. Ecem tailors her methods to meet the needs of her students and actively explores innovative teaching techniques and technology. Her commitment to cultural and social sensitivity fosters inclusive environments that promote global awareness and mutual respect.
Margo Oganezov, Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant, Hebrew. Originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, Margaret is a member of the Israel Bar Association and has practiced commercial and corporate law in the private sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.) and an MBA with a focus on strategy and entrepreneurship, both from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is a language enthusiast and is looking forward to helping the MENA Languages Program and the Jewish and Israel Studies Program instill in students a deeper understanding and appreciation for the Hebrew language.
