MENA Student Association

mena-student-association.jpgThe MENA Student Association was founded in the Spring of 2021 to provide community and an inclusive, safe space for the many MENA students on campus. The goal of the student group is to celebrate what MENA students have in common but also to show respect for the distinctions between the various MENA cultures.  Through the  events the group organizes, they want to foreground the importance of individual traditions and cultures within the region:  bonfires, cooking events, brunch, game night, Dabke dance, and poetry readings are just a few of the events to highlight religious and cultural identities under the MENA umbrella. The MENA Languages Program often co-sponsors and co-organizes events with the MENA Student Association.
