Poster Exhibit on Remarkable Women
April 11, 2024
In honor of International Women’s Day, our students contributed posters in Arabic and Turkish to the poster exhibit Remarkable Women from around the World. More that 40 posters, featuring remarkable women from the various languages and cultures taught at Northwestern, were on display from March 4 through March 31 in the Main Library. The opening reception on March 4 was a festive occasion for students and faculty alike where a lively crowd explored and discussed the various biographies and stories.
The poster on Zaha Hadid (Iraqi architect) designed by Becker Spear won second place (out of 43 posters).
We want to thank Professors Topcuoglu, Raddawi, and Antabli for working with their students on the fabulous posters and congratulate the students for their creative work and their lively presentations during the reception.
