Arabic Students learn the Art of Arabic Calligraphy
Professor Mikhaeel’s students are working with Mohameden Ahmedou, a professional calligrapher and historian of the Arabic script, who provided an introduction and a hands-on workshop to Arabic Calligraphy. This workshop was part of Professor Mikhaeel’s Arabic 316-2 class in which students explored Arabic and Islamic manuscript traditions in depth. The class was taught in the Fall 2023.
