Winter Quarter 2025 trip to experience Yemeni culture
As part of community building, student in Arabic 211-3 were treated to a study break in the popular Yemeni coffee house. Professor Khan took her 3rd-year Arabic students to the Qahwah House in Skokie to try authentic Yemeni tea or coffee and pastries and learn about the spread and trade of coffee from Yemen to all different corners of the world. Qahwah House is a proud family business founded in 2017 with a singular goal in mind: to provide the highest quality coffee and to bridge communities by sharing their own Yemeni culture.
