Professors Antabli and Raddawi accompanied our first-year students to Libanais, a casual, family-run Lebanese restaurant where they enjoyed the food, the place, the sweets, the company, and the sense of community. The event was a reinforcement of a lesson on food students had practiced in class and much more. It was wonderful to see how much students had learned in just two quarters: they reviewed the menu, ordered food, asked questions, used cultural expressions and gave compliments - all in Arabic. And they even sang with Professor Raddawi in Arabic!
